Wyggestons, a Leicester-based provider of sheltered accommodation and residential care, has donated to The Bridge Homelessness to Hope charity.
The generous donation will help the charity to provide food, to support a new case worker role, and to organise health and well-being activities for the city’s homeless community to help to integrate them back into society.
Chris Jones, Chief Executive Officer at Wyggestons said: “Wyggestons is delighted to be able to provide financial support for the valuable work of The Bridge Homelessness to Hope in delivering services to the vulnerable people of the city. As a long established local charity, we are passionate in our mission to use our resources to care for Leicester’s citizens and we value this partnership with The Bridge to enable them to continue their essential work with people in the greatest need in our community. We look forward to continuing a close working relationship in the coming years.”
David Fawcett, Executive Operations Manager at The Bridge Homelessness to Hope added: “The Bridge Homelessness to Hope relies on generous donations from organisations and individual fundraisers to support the valuable services that we offer to the city’s homeless and vulnerable. We’re indebted to Wyggestons for recognising the synergy in the duty of care and safety that our two organisations share, and for providing this generous donation to help us to continue our great work.”
