Press Release: Leicester, United Kingdom.
Last Christmas, in response to a plea from the Leicester based charity The Bridge www.bridgeleicester.org for help at their Winter Night Shelter, the Leicester Tigers, England and British Lions star Geoff Parling quietly and unobtrusively turned out on a dark December evening to cook and serve a meal for the guests.
Geoff was so impressed with what The Bridge does every week to help homeless and vulnerably housed people in Leicester that he agreed to become their Ambassador. More recently he suggested organising a major fund-raising dinner. This is going to take place at 7.30pm on Thursday, 8th January 2015 at Leicester College and Geoff has persuaded his fellow teammates Anthony Allen, Matthew Tait and Julian Salvi to join him after the dinner in a Question and Answer session. It promises to be a great evening, particularly as the Master of Ceremonies is the ex-Tigers legend George Chuter and Geoff will be auctioning two of his signed Tigers and England shirts. Tickets for this very worthy cause start at just £35 and all the money raised will go to help the Bridge in its work in Leicester.
