What is The Big Sleep?

Kate Burton

Every year The Bridge Homelessness to Hope hosts a fundraiser called The Big Sleep, which not only earns money to help us continue our work, but also gives people a small glimpse into what life is like for those sleeping on the streets. Last year our Big Sleep broke our record of money earned, with a target of £12k being smashed and raising £14.9. But this year, we’re going even bigger.

The Big Sleep 2025 will take place on Tuesday 25th March at the University of Leicester Centenary Square. Join the staff, volunteers, and sponsors for a night outside and help raise funds for the much-needed and important work that we do for the homeless community. At the Bridge Homelessness To Hope we aim to be an outreach to the lost and lonely of Leicester, to the homeless and to those who just have nowhere to go and no one to turn to, and you can help us.

"Dozens of our employees from our offices across the UK are busy gathering sponsorship to brave a cold night under the stars for The Big Sleep 2025. Many have already volunteered in the charity’s kitchen and activity rooms last year and we will continue this much needed volunteering in 2025. As a company, Heidelberg Materials has committed to donating several items to help support the Centre. We hope in this way we can make a huge difference to the lives of so many people sleeping rough on Leicester’s streets and continue to raise awareness."
